Wichita, Kansas – ASM Global, the world’s leading producer of entertainment experiences, venue management and event strategy, has appointed 30-year industry authority John Hale as general manager of Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.

Hale, whose experience includes prior management roles at the venue, transitions into his new role this month and will have responsibility for the overall management, promotion, and operation of the facilities, including purchasing, booking, marketing, finance, human resources, food and beverage, box office, security, production, operations and more.

Most recently, Hale served as the facility’s assistant general manager and director of operations for ASM Global. Previously, Hale served as the facility's technical director from 2001-2006 and the operations manager and technical director from 2011-2020. Prior to joining ASM Global, Hale held the position of director of engineering for Hyatt Regency Wichita.
 
Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center is part of the ASM Global portfolio, the largest and most diverse network of premier convention and trade show venues for millions of exhibitors and attendees across an extensive worldwide footprint that spans five continents.
 
Hale’s hiring culminates ASM Global’s comprehensive nationwide candidate search involving two rounds of interviews and detailed evaluation of finalists in collaboration with the City of Wichita.
